More than a number at the end of the week.

A useful timesheet explains where the time went. View the dates, tasks, customer references and durations together before you submit. Your reviewer receives the week you checked, with enough context to understand the work.

LOOK BEHIND THE TOTAL

See exactly what went into the week.

Open the entries behind the weekly total and check the work, date, duration and billing context. The project reference tells the reviewer where the work belongs, while the description explains what was done. Correct eligible draft or rejected entries before opening a fresh submission preview. Customer work and internal preparation remain distinct, without losing the complete view of the week.

REVIEW FIRST. THEN SUBMIT.

Submit a checked week, with the right context.

Use the submission preview to review the entries you are about to send. Choose the designated reviewer and add a note that explains the week. The submission is tied to the set you checked. If its underlying entries change, refresh the preview before submitting, so the reviewer receives the current work rather than an outdated total.

  1. 1Check the current entries and their durations.
  2. 2Choose the reviewer and add context.
  3. 3Submit the checked week for a decision.

ONE WEEK. A CLEAR STATUS.

Know where your weekly submission stands.

Draft, submitted, approved and rejected describe different points in the review. A submitted week is waiting for a decision; it is not automatically approved. If it is rejected, read the reviewer’s note, correct eligible entries and prepare the current version for resubmission. Approval records the review decision. Financial processing is a separate next step.

  1. 1

    Draft

The week is still being prepared. Eligible entries can be checked and corrected.

  2. 2

    Submitted

The reviewed set has been sent to its designated reviewer.

  3. 3

    Approved

The reviewer has accepted the submitted version of the week.

  4. 4

    Returned for correction

A rejection note explains what needs attention before resubmission.

Weekly preparation and the reviewer’s decision are separate steps.

EXAMPLE: A CONSULTANT’S WEEK

Customer work and internal preparation, clearly accounted for.

Ana has recorded a customer workshop, concept development, reviews and a handover. Before submitting, she checks the descriptions and corrects one date. Her 22.5-hour week contains 21 billable hours and 1.5 hours of internal preparation. Jamie can review the actual work behind those totals and return the week with a note if clarification is needed.

Questions about this topic

What can I see in the submission preview?

The supported view includes the work, date, duration, customer context, billable indicator and entry state, alongside the weekly totals.

Can a previously reviewed preview submit changed entries unnoticed?

The flow checks the specific entry set and versions represented by the preview. Obtain an updated preview when the underlying entries change.

Does submission mean the time is approved?

No. Submitted and approved are different states. A designated reviewer makes the relevant approval or rejection decision.

Which work-date grouping is currently used?

The time implementation uses Japan-based work-date and weekly calendar rules. This should be checked explicitly for teams whose operational day follows another timezone.
