Questions about country requirements

Does a currency determine the country localisation?

No. A transaction currency, a chart of accounts, tax treatment and mandatory reporting are separate configuration choices. A country pack must address the requirements of the relevant legal entity.

What is the difference between a tax code and a chart of accounts?

The chart of accounts organises accounting entries. Tax codes define the treatment of individual transactions. Rates, reporting positions and invoice requirements can depend on the transaction and the applicable country rules.

Does an electronic invoice format cover every local requirement?

An invoice format is one part of the workflow. Transmission, recipient requirements, tax registration, corrections and mandatory reports may require separate configuration and validation.

How should we introduce country-specific finance?

Choose the legal entity, accounting period and concrete transaction types. Review the chart, tax treatment, invoice process and reports with the responsible finance specialists before adopting the country workflow.
