Create working dashboards with AI

Turn a clear data question into a view you can inspect and keep.

Ask for a supported overview, review its data sources, filters and measures, and save a useful workspace for repeat use.

A useful dashboard begins with the meaning of the question.

Show me our open work can mean overdue tasks, active projects or unresolved support tickets. AI can help construct supported data-driven workspaces, but the team must define what the overview should measure. Start with a concrete decision and the records that support it. A rendered chart is not evidence that its measure, period or grouping matches the business question.

Name the source, measure and relevant grouping.

Specify the enabled module, relevant records and intended condition. Ask for a supported table, count or visualization appropriate to the available data. If a request refers to revenue, distinguish the actual finance record and status from an assumed accounting definition. The current finance implementation uses whole JPY and Japanese consumption tax; a dashboard does not add currencies, local accounting compliance or missing exchange-rate conversion.

  • Supported components over explicitly chosen business sources

Inspect the generated view against known records.

Review filters, date boundaries, grouping and displayed totals. Compare the result with a few known underlying records and open the source where available. A missing value or hidden record can change the interpretation. Refine the question when the first view answers a different issue. Do not label an operational count as a complete management KPI merely because its card looks ready for a presentation.

  • Reviewable filters and measures rather than a static chart image

Save the reviewed workspace
Illustrative AI detail · example data

Save a useful workspace without broadening its access.

Keep a useful workspace for future review instead of rebuilding the question each time. Saved replay uses current authorization and enabled-module checks, not the creator's permanent unrestricted access. Its results depend on the actual available data when evaluated. A saved configuration is not a promise of a scheduled report, an automatic external email or identical numbers for colleagues with different record visibility.

A concrete workflow
  1. Define question

Name the decision, records and time boundary.

  2. Generate

Request an available view using supported components.

  3. Check meaning

Compare filters and totals against known source records.

  4. Keep and revisit

Save the useful view and reassess it when work changes.

An illustrative working example

Illustrative scenario: a weekly project overview

A project lead asks for an overview of active work with upcoming milestones. The first version includes work outside the intended period, so the lead refines the filter and checks known projects. The useful workspace is saved for repeat review. A colleague with narrower access sees only permitted records. The team treats the view as an aid to discussion, then opens the actual project before changing a deadline or making a client commitment.

Questions about this topic

Is the result only an image?

Supported workspaces use structured product components and data sources, rather than only a static chart image.

Does saving grant access to every colleague?

No. Replay still applies current permissions and module availability.

Can any arbitrary metric be generated?

Only supported sources and components are available. Validate whether the actual data can answer your question.

Does this add German accounting support?

No. Visualization does not change finance currency, tax or compliance support.
